Education

ACCIONA is committed to the local community by providing educational resources which give an insight into the energy from waste process, offering work placements, and providing information on what it means to work in today’s construction industry

Schools, colleges and universities in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray are welcome to get in touch to find out how ACCIONA can get involved and the resources we can provide

These can be, but are not limited to:

Work placements;
  • Foundation apprenticeship for S5/S6 school pupils
  • Student placement, this would be for a minimum of 28 weeks
  • Entry level placement, this is aimed at those who are not in employment or enrolled in a course of education or study
Talks/presentations
  • These can be tailored to school curriculum

Visits to the project site
  • [Once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted] to give an insight into the engineering and technology used in creating an energy from waste plant

Posters
  • We have sets of posters showing how the plant will look on completion and these can be requested in electronic or hard copy format

Videos
  • We have two videos showing how an energy from waste plant operates, one for primary children, and the other for upper years; we also have a set of three videos for secondary schools and young adults giving hints and tips on applying for jobs and being interviewed

If the above is of interest to you then we would be pleased to hear from you.
